Program Description
Ticket Committee provides SMS/text message notifications to event attendees who opt in during the registration process. Messages are related to events you are registered for and may include:
- Check-in confirmations when you arrive at an event
- Check-out confirmations when you leave an event
- Registration confirmations
- Event-related links (e.g., waiver signing requests)
How You Opt In
When registering for an event, the event organizer may include a phone number question for each attendee. If SMS messaging is enabled for that question, an unchecked opt-in checkbox is displayed directly below the phone number input with the following disclosure:
By checking, you consent to receive transactional/informational SMS from [Event Name] via Ticket Committee, including registration confirmations, check-in notifications, and event-related links (e.g., waiver signing requests). Message frequency varies. Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. SMS Terms | Privacy Policy.
The checkbox is not pre-checked. You must actively check the box and complete your registration to opt in. If you do not check the box, no SMS messages will be sent to you. Consent is collected per attendee — each attendee's phone number has its own opt-in checkbox.
Organizer Configuration
Event organizers configure SMS opt-in by creating a phone number question and enabling the "This phone number will be used for SMS messaging" option. This causes the opt-in checkbox to appear alongside the phone input on the public registration form.
Attendee Registration Form
Below is how the opt-in checkbox appears to attendees on the registration form, directly below the phone number input:
Note: The phone number field shown above is required for registration, however the SMS opt-in checkbox is always optional. Attendees can provide their phone number without opting in to receive text messages.
Confirmation Message
After opting in, you will receive a one-time confirmation SMS:
"Ticket Committee: You've signed up for [Event Name] notifications. Msg frequency varies. Msg&Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your event activity. You will typically receive 1-5 messages per event. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message you receive from us
- Contacting us at privacy@ticketcommittee.com
After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message: "You have successfully been unsubscribed from Ticket Committee notifications. You will not receive any more messages. Reply START to resubscribe."

Privacy
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number or any mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
