SMS/Text Messaging
How You Consent to Receive SMS Messages
You will only receive SMS/text messages from Ticket Committee if you explicitly opt-in during the ticket checkout process. When purchasing tickets for events that have SMS notifications enabled, you will be presented with a clear checkbox that states:
"By checking, you consent to receive transactional/informational SMS from [Event Name] via Ticket Committee, including registration confirmations, check-in notifications, and event-related links (e.g., waiver signing requests). Message frequency varies. Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. SMS Terms | Privacy Policy"
You must actively check this box to consent to receiving SMS messages. This consent is required only for events where the organizer has enabled SMS notifications. If you do not check the box, you will not receive SMS messages related to that event.
Types of SMS Messages
After providing your explicit consent, you may receive SMS/text messages related to:
- Event check-in notifications (when you or your attendee checks in)
- Event check-out notifications (when you or your attendee checks out)
- Registration confirmations
- Event Related Links (e.g., waiver signing requests)
Your Privacy
Important: We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number or any mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is used solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to provide you with the event notification services you have explicitly consented to receive.
Message Frequency and Costs
Message frequency varies based on your event activity (typically 1-4 messages per event). Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message you receive from us
- Contacting us at privacy@ticketcommittee.com
After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt-in again for a future event.
